Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica, is a culturally rich environment, with many artists and artisans both local and from all over the world. In Puerto Viejo, elements of afro-Caribbean, Latino, and Bribri indigenous culture combine to create a unique artistic milieu.

In the streets of Puerto Viejo, one can find local vendors and artists selling their wares in an open fair-like atmosphere. Jewelry, gift items, beadwork, clothing, and arts and crafts from many parts of Latin America can be found here. Often traveling artists will come through on their way along the coast, giving the local art market constant variety.

Puerto Viejo is also home to the Lu Lu Berlu Galleria, one of the finest art galleries in Costa Rica, operated by the famous French mosaic artist Lu Lu Berlu. Cariblue has around various mosaics from this appreciated artist.
