How to Get Here
From San José to Puerto Viejo you take Route 32 and the trip takes about 4 to 5 hours. There are several ways to get here:
The MEPE bus company offers regular service from San José to Puerto Viejo and back. The fare is approximately USD 13 per person. Check schedules at Limón / Puerto Viejo schedules.
Regular shuttles run from San José to Puerto Viejo and back, with a maximum of 16 passengers, air conditioning and WiFi. The fare is USD 65 + tax per person.
If you want a private transfer for a group or family, write to us and we will organize it for you. Approximate cost: USD 330 + tax.
If you want more freedom, you can rent a car at the airport. There are many options such as Hertz, Adobe, Alamo and Sixt. Daily rates start at USD 20 depending on the car and number of days.
